Ziolinz Schunchi
Description
Breath of Dragons
The Ziolinz Schunchi carries the unmistakable silhouette of the ancient Asia-Pacific vessel tradition — its form rising in a sweeping asymmetric spiral, wide at the middle and narrowing up-top with intention. It is not a vase you place. It is one you receive.
Legend of Flame
In the oldest texts of the Pacific rim, before the age of emperors, there existed a dragon known as Ziolinz — not a creature of destruction, but of glory. Its flame was called Schunchi — the Furnace of the old gods — a fire so ancient it predated the sun itself.
The elders spoke of it in whispers, not from fear, but from reverence — for Schunchi was not merely heat. It was memory made visible, the breath of a world that had not yet forgotten what it was made of.
Weary of a world that hoarded power and withheld wisdom, Ziolinz descended to the valley of the first potters and breathed Schunchi into their kilns. The clay that emerged held the memory of the flame — spiralling, asymmetric, alive with a tension no hand alone could have made.
The greatest gifts are not given to the deserving — they are given to the open. Ziolinz did not choose the powerful. It chose those still willing to learn.
Will it Burn the Space?
- Sweeping asymmetric silhouette inspired by ancient Asia-Pacific vessel forms — no two angles the same
- A surface that carries depth and warmth — as though the material itself remembers heat of earth
- Exceptional alone or paired with thin dried botanicals
- A meaningful collector’s piece for those who appreciate myth as much as craft
The dragon did not breathe fire to destroy. It breathed to give form to what the hands alone could not reach. The Ziolinz Schunchi is that gift — passed forward, still warm.
