Aleplo was a devoted wine merchant who returned to the same village each harvest — barrels full, heart fuller — for Lachi, the cheesemaker's daughter. She smiled at his letters and gave her affections to an Italian barber instead. When Aleplo finally learned the truth, he said nothing. He left his last barrel — aged in her name, sealed, undrunk — at the door of her silo and walked away.
They say he stood at the edge of the village road for a long moment, the autumn wind carrying the scent of oak and crushed grape, before he turned and never looked back. He carried no bitterness — only the quiet weight of a man who had given his finest years to something that could not go the distance.
The village remembered him. They named their finest wine flavoured cheese Aleplo Lachi — not for her, but for him. They said it tasted like patience, and quiet dignity of a man who loved too well for a woman who loved too little.

All Sales Final — No returns or exchanges once production begins, given the made-to-order, limited-edition nature of the pieces. Note to EU buyers: All of our pieces are exempt from EU's right to withdrawal.
Handcrafted Variations — Natural differences in texture, finish, colour, and form are expected and not considered defects — each piece is intentionally one of a kind.
